Hi Emily I first watched your videos in 2008 but found I had less time for YouTube when my son was born that summer. I recently found you again and was really happy to see that you are doing so many different kinds of videos, as well as your fabulous make up tutorials. I'm really enjoying catching up with everything that has happened with you, Tyler and the adorable Belle. x

I would love to see an updated series of these! With your new wisdom from motherhood and changes in your career, it'd be really interesting to hear more about how you're committed to these life choices.
Norma Quintero (3 years ago)
Awesome advice! Thank you for sharing. I love all your videos and your style.
Michelle Mac (3 years ago)
+emilynoel83 I wish you would do another series like this. It's amazing!
Tiffanee Simar (4 years ago)
Man, I wish I would have heard this when I was in junior high/high school! This was great :)
Jennifer Ann Fox (4 years ago)
this is so good Emily. Glad I found it.
1GeekQueen (4 years ago)
I appreciate the fact that you stood up for your classmate. More people should try that. I was bullied a lot in school due to my weight and I really appreciated the few people who were kind enough to treat me with respect. I'm sorry those girls started picking on you instead.
Demra17 (5 years ago)
I just love this video, watch it all the time :) your such a beautiful person Emily xx
Terri Gaines (5 years ago)
I have a fifteen year old daughter and she has some body issues and she is dealing with acne and she puts too much belief into what the other kids at her school think. I have had several talks with her that are similar to what you are talking about in the best self group of videos. I think I am finally getting her to where she needs to be with her self esteem. I think I will have her watch these videos as well. Thank you so much for making these, Emily.
Lisa Beakley (5 years ago)
Thank you so much, you really nailed it in so much depth....you should write a book it would be a top seller:)
Nancy Staggs (5 years ago)
Em, Could you do a tutorial on ladies make up for women over 60, or maybe have your Mom help with it. I just turned 60 and some of the things I did for make up application is now blazae. I have the crinkle eyes and fine lines , and on my forehead I have four very apparent lines. You are a very sweet gal and this gal, appreciates you. Fine example for your age. God bless and thank you.

Why don't you make your building blocks pyramid a printable?

Are classes different in america to the uk? By class does she mean the whole year(grade in america) because a small class here would be like 15 people but there are like 150 people in our year??
charchar0607 (5 years ago)
I'm sorry, I keep commenting on your videos and they mostly involve me laughing really hard. But I can't help it! I really appreciate your videos Emily, and they're like a ray of light for me because I've been suffering from depression for a while. I really needed your best self series, thank you so much
charchar0607 (5 years ago)
Hahahahahahahahaha!!! your disclaimer on your pyramid scheme is hilarious!
marguerite sawicki (5 years ago)
Emily....you are a sweet woman for doing what you do for us. As far as the oops on saying the girls name......I say to all who keep bringing it up....let it go....she made a mistake. Who hasn't. Keep up the great work Emily.
marayah greisen (6 years ago)
you said her name was heatherjust so you know
TheMakeupGini (6 years ago)
Emily you are doing a great thing here for young girls. As far as Emily saying Heather's name , only Emily, Heather and the girls involved in the incident know who the people involved were. Emily did not betray or expose anyone here. She did not say any last name or physical descriptions.
TheFanGirl98 (6 years ago)
You did say the name once more, Emily
prettyinpinksuze (6 years ago)
i definitely agree that it probably would have been better to not put the girl's name in her comment, but i just watched the video and the second time emily says her name is most definitely not edited out.
prettyinpinksuze (6 years ago)
I think she's pointing that out because she says the girl's name again, and the second time it wasn't edited out. :)
victoria veech (6 years ago)
you are totally awesome every girl should watch you!!!!!!!!!
Kcamlove (6 years ago)

salvysladyjay (6 years ago)
Just started to watch the series....GREAT Advice!!! I got teary eyed (thought you didn't want to say her name..a boo boo I'm sure)
TheAccessoryGirl (6 years ago)
Excellent advice Emily! Thank you for doing this series.
anmylica (6 years ago)
After you took the girl's name out the first time, you said it again. Just wanted to point that out! :) I really appreciate this vid series: I just got out of an abusive relationship and need the encouragement and advice, and I'm 22 years old. It's not just teenage and pre-teen girls that need this. Thank you Emily!
sunfyrewoman (6 years ago)

EmSal (6 years ago)

I was bullied as a child and i wish someone like you came along and stood up for me.
Nalani Staats (6 years ago)
I think it says a lot about how much people relate to this when you have 48 pages of comments in just one week. Love your channels and blog. keep it up.

Thanks you for this, it's already helping :)
Marie L. (6 years ago)
Very touching! I know how it is to be "obsessed" with being liked. It's true I want everyone to like me and I want to fit in. I see people getting picked on for the most dumb things. I should say something, I want to too. I just never do because I don't want to be judged but now I know I should and I'm not going to know these girls out of high-school! (thank greatness)
anitak315 (6 years ago)
Oh God dear Emily, very touching. I would love to hear all the series. Very interesting and thought- provoking. God bless you. You're here for a lot of reasons ...thank you so much....

TheBrowningStar4 (6 years ago)
When I was in high school, the meanest bully in school would make fun of a girl with a mental illness. I tried to stick up for her and the bully would laugh at me. Right after high school the bully got in a wreck and was paralyzed. I'm not saying she deserved it at all. I'll I'm saying is KARMA.
Georgina Ragazza (6 years ago)
I'm 47 years old and have just begun the early stages of the menopause, so my whole life is changing and altering - it's like a weird reverse adolescence in many ways. This new series has come along at EXACTLY the right time for me, and I'm so thankful that you started it! Looking forward to more!

...continued from previous comment) ..., since (in my case) this is the age where I find someone really finds out who there are, and what type of person they want to be in their lifetime. I feel like if nobody preaches this subject to the younger generations (and in general), our society is going to forget what the true meaning of being a beautiful person really means. So again, I really appreciate you taking time out of your schedule to share your "tips" on this subject!(:
Godlover121496 (6 years ago)
@beautyvlogcast :Hi Emily! I just wanted to personally thank you for starting this series! I really love how you are teaching your followers, that there is more to beauty than applying cosmetics to look pretty. A feel like a lot of the beauty vloggers here on YouTube just focus on the "outside beauty" characteristics of a person...and don't focus on the "inner beauty" characteristics of a person. As a teenage aged female, I feel like this subject needs to be talked about more...(continued..
ladida8628 (6 years ago)
really nice video---thank you! please do the rest of the series !
jesssmith30 (6 years ago)
I feel like you are such a role model. Thank you for posting this and keep them coming. I'm sure it will help many young girls, as well as I feel like this topic is exactly what I need to hear right now. Just starting my career and feeling intimidated by being so new etc. This is awesome.

I think doing them back to back over a week or 2 would be good because then everyone can make sure they see each part.
Summer Robinson (6 years ago)
Being 16 is hard, and a lot of times adults around you don't realize it. I remember how hard it was, i swear it does get better! Just stay strong!

Emily, this video was great i would love it if you would do a series on this. Now a days women and men think they need to be someone they are not to "impress" but we need a reminder to be true to ourselves. You are a great role model for every age group.

I find it funny that you find a town of 1200 people small. Because I come from a town of less than 1000 people so when I hear 1200 I'm like woah! :D

I'm completely looking forward to the next video on "Own It." Sometimes I feel like I lack talent, or that may talents aren't worth much because I can't make a lot of money doing it..... so, I simply don't do it. I went to school for Radio Broadcasting, and I have a ton of self-doubt about my own talents involving that. I need to learn how to Own my talents.... Looking forward to the video! Thank you!!
juju01407 (6 years ago)
Thank you so much for this amazing video. :)
Shelley Moseley (6 years ago)
Em, I found your Beauty Broadcast channel simply by accident. I have truly enjoyed everything you have covered in your videos. At 48 years young, I know that I have a great many things yet to learn and want to thank you for taking the time to cover the topics you plan on addressing on this new channel. You are a very level-headed, charming and beautiful young woman who has a gift of helping others 8 to 80 feel good about themselves. Thank you so much for sharing you with us!

I love this whole topic!! I was just in a situation where I had to take charge and put a stop to something that nobody else would. Watching this makes me realize that I did the right thing and can't doubt myself! Thank you do much for being such a positive influence in my life!!
