You think a pump is bad. Babies suck harder then that does. At least that was my experience. This cracked me up you guys are great. You guys should wear big thick pads for a day and go out shopping where your unable to adjust your pad in public when it crawls up your butt
Actually, men have nipples because they used to lactate and produce for the children as well. Nowadays, most can’t, but there are a few oddities who actually can. I literally just learned this in biology.
Haha men just don't produce prolactin the hormone that causes women to lactate. Lol. Men can lactate with the right hormones. Women can produce up to 16+ oz at a time however the average is 5oz per session
Men can lactate. Both genders have mammary glands but only females develop....please learn the female anatomy. Check out sexplanations by dr.doe. she's awesome. Different suction cups are for inverted and different shape nipples. Some women can pump 24 oz. in 1 sitting, others are more or less. The sessions can last up to an hour or so, depends on the woman and her nutrition habits, hydration.
Men can lactate, if you have enough of the right hormones. Please try the labor simulator to experience what women have to go through. Also, I used to be able to fill up a 5 ounce bottle in one sitting when I used to breastfeed my daughter. I had no problem while one of my best friends who had a child around the same time I did, she wasn't able to pump as much. In the end, both babies are a year old and healthy.
They recommend pump for 15 to 20 minutes after breastfeed the baby.
As a mom who breastfed by pumping and bottle-feeding for 15 months this video is hilarious. I'm also watching it the course today and thinking back to Jess breastfeeding now and it's even more hilarious that there's a breast pump in their house now LOL.
and to answer Cam's question each mom produces different amounts of milk of course Austin probably knows best now but I personally could fill up 3-4 of those little bottles that y'all were putting the orange juice in. Per pumping section. And they recommended you pump for 15 minutes each side every three to 4 hours.
It's not biologically impossible for men to breastfeed. Some men make milk. so do some babies.
I used a pump after my daughter was born and got next to no milk in 20 mins... like maybe 20 ml. But we did sucsessfully breastfeed. I could hand express better than pump. I think breast size Is important when using pumps... A cup - D cup should not have a problem with pumps, but the larger sizes, they might not work. (I was H cup... not the DDD they had me in.. )
I’m dying! First time I used a breast pump was when my milk came in and I suddenly had FFF boobs with a teeny tiny nipple sticking off. My baby couldn’t latch on bc they hve to get their little mouths around your areolas but my breast was literally a milk ballon that felt like it would pop. If I leaned forward milk sprayed everywhere. My sister came over to help and got me going with a breast pump and sweet Jesus the relief. There’s no feeling in the world like being massively engorged and releasing the pressure. Your body gets better at not overfilling unless your away from your baby to long.
After you have to do it for so long appx 45mins each side (in my case, because my baby was born at 27 weeks and only weighed 2lbs 1oz) your nipples will start to get like chapped lips and then will start cracking and bleeding!! Even when just regularly breast feeding too!! Plus they start biting your nipples!!🤣🤣🤣
So here I am watching this video and laughing sooo hard and I know it's been up for a year but it is possible for men to lactate if given the right hormones as they do have the same glands ect as woman and men can also get breast cancer just for internet sake. Keep up the good work you guys are awesome!!
Here is pain for you first child I couldnt even hold to me she would scream I would bleed blood from from my nipples found out my ducts had a infection thats why. My second child took the brown completely off first suck not even the lactaid consultant could break the latch from her mouth blood dripping from my skin by the time the nurse and her did break the latch. I could pump 8oz per breast every three hours first three mths after that I totally dried up but had enough to feed her for a extremely long time but she was highly allergic to breast milk. Go figure huh! If that isnt messed up. And I have six kids total. Five alive.
