9 - Hidden names for God
Throughout the book of Esther, God is referred to as God -- or another word in another language with the same meaning. But nowhere is there a place that specifically states his name, at least not blatantly. It’s coded, hidden behind an acrostic code -- a code where the first or last letter of a word are used to make another word and in this case God’s name, Jehovah. In another instance of acrostic code, another name appears as EHYM, which mean “I AM.” The code can be deciphered because the letters are written in Majuscular, which is a form of writing when the first letter of a word is a bigger letter than the rest in the word. The four letters are the consonants in Jehovah. JHVH. The companion bible by Dr. Bullinger is a great source that breaks down how the code was deciphered in detail.
8- Does God Commit Evil
It’s astounding how many times the word evil is used in the Bible and its claims to avoid it at all costs. And despite your preachers claims that God can only create and perform good, the Bible, mainly the books they don’t want you to read, tells a different story. One in which God is committing the so-called evil to further his purposes on earth. If God is really the almighty, master of the universe and the natural laws that govern it, evil must be one of those natural laws, therefore wielding it in his way. What room does that leave for Satan? Well, not much. If this is in fact true Satan would be just another tool in the scheme of God’s will, which is somewhat evil.
7 - A New Creation of Animal Life
We’ve seen it blasted in films, posted up on billboards, and even a model built in Kentucky. But did Noah house every animal on the entire earth during the great flood? The Bible will undoubtedly have you believe so...at least in one of the books. In King David’s book, however, he tells a different story. All animals were wiped out during the flood, Noah didn’t save any. Instead, new species and reproductions of the animals that once lived on earth were just born again once the waters subsided. If the Bible is law and infallible, why so many contradictory stories?
6 - Is the Holy Spirit A Personality?
Anyone familiar with the Bible and the Christian religion has heard of the divine trio: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, but does the Bible portray the Holy Spirit as a sentient being we should worship? It is claimed that the Holy Spirit is in all life, including us. Many times in the Bible the apostles refer to worship in the name of the Father and the Son -- the Holy Spirit is absent. So why then do we praise the trio when even the apostles of Jesus neglected to use its name in their worship practices? If the Holy Spirit was indeed a divine entity that can recognize its existence, wouldn’t it be angry that the so-called apostles weren’t worshipping it accordingly? In fact, Paul limited his mediatorial responsibilities between the father and humankind with one figure -- Jesus.
Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.
5 - The exact date of Christ’s birth.
No, it isn’t December 25th. So why do we celebrate that day you ask? It’s a fair question you can ask your local Walmart. Ok, maybe not Walmart, but it’s safe to say Christmas has become a retailer’s paradise rather than a celebration of the “Christ,” and it’s mainly believed because “Pagan” religions celebrate the “Birth of the Sun,” as in the giant star, on Dec 25th. On three separate occasions, the Bible refers to the nativity of Jesus. Once when the shepherds visited and brought gifts, another when the Magi or wise men visited and brought gifts, and the third using planetary science that allows astronomers to utilize the ancient Hebrew calendar to estimate his actual birth date. As mentioned before, it’s not in December; it is in November. So if you DO celebrate Christmas on December 25th, technically you are celebrating a PAGAN holiday.
4 – Jacob’s Age at Marriage
It never states how old Jacob was when he had his children, but his lifespan is LOOONNGG. It’s well known that people during the day and age when Jacob was alive didn’t have much longevity. Jacob, on the other hand, died when he was 147 years old..
