Oracle Reports | How to use summary column in oracle reports | Oracle apps

05:42
In this lesson we will learn about How to use summary column in Oracle Report builder A summary report contains at least one column whose value or values consist of a summary of other data. A column that totals sales, a column that averages a list of commissions, and a column that shows the maximum amounts found in a series of purchase orders are all examples of summary columns. Summary columns are used for calculating summary information like sum, average etc,. on specific columns of a data group. This column uses a set of predefined oracle aggregate functions. Summary columns are generally preceded by CS_ to distinguish them from other columns.

This means a given student can be enrolled into many courses and a given course can have many students enrolled. Below is the question asked in an interview for SQL Server Developer role. Write a SQL script to insert data into StudentCourses table. Here are the rules that your script should follow. 1. There will be 2 inputs for the script Student Name - The name of the student who wants to enroll into a course Course Name - The name of the course the student wants to enroll into 2. If the student is already in the Students table, then use that existing Student Id. If the student is not already in the Students table, then a row for that student must be inserted into the Students table, and use that new student id. 3. Along the same lines, if the course is already in the Courses table, then use that existing Course Id. If the course is not already in the Courses table, then a row for that course must be inserted into the Courses table, and use that new course id. 4. There should be no duplicate student course enrollments, i.e a given student must not be enrolled in the same course twice. For example, Tom must not be enrolled in C# course twice. Answer : To avoid duplicate student course enrollments create a composite primary key on StudentId and CourseId columns in StudentCourses table. With this composite primary key in place, if someone tries to enroll the same student in the same course again we get violation of primary key constraint error. Alter table StudentCourses Add Constraint PK_StudentCourses Primary Key Clustered (CourseId, StudentId) Here is the SQL script that inserts data into the 3 tables as expected Declare @StudentName nvarchar(50) = 'Sam' Declare @CourseName nvarchar(50) = 'SQL Server' Declare @StudentId int Declare @CourseId int -- If the student already exists, use the existing student ID Select @StudentId = Id from Students where StudentName = @StudentName -- If the course already exists, use the existing course ID Select @CourseId = Id from Courses where CourseName = @CourseName -- If the student does not exist in the Students table If (@StudentId is null) Begin -- Insert the student Insert into Students values(@StudentName) -- Get the Id of the student Select @StudentId = SCOPE_IDENTITY() End -- If the course does not exist in the Courses table If (@CourseId is null) Begin -- Insert the course Insert into Courses values(@CourseName) -- Get the Id of the course Select @CourseId = SCOPE_IDENTITY() End -- Insert StudentId & CourseId in StudentCourses table Insert into StudentCourses values(@StudentId, @CourseId) If required, we can very easily convert this into a stored procedure as shown below. Create procedure spInsertIntoStudentCourses @StudentName nvarchar(50), @CourseName nvarchar(50) as Begin Declare @StudentId int Declare @CourseId int Select @StudentId = Id from Students where StudentName = @StudentName Select @CourseId = Id from Courses where CourseName = @CourseName If (@StudentId is null) Begin Insert into Students values(@StudentName) Select @StudentId = SCOPE_IDENTITY() End If (@CourseId is null) Begin Insert into Courses values(@CourseName) Select @CourseId = SCOPE_IDENTITY() End Insert into StudentCourses values(@StudentId, @CourseId) End Use the following statement to execute the stored procedure Execute spInsertIntoStudentCourses 'Tom','C#'

SQL Tutorial 7: CONCAT function, ORDER BY, NULL value

09:21
How do you concatenate or combine columns and place it on a derived column? How do you check if a column contains NULL value? How do your arrange rows or records in descending or ascending order? The video presents sample problems with solution as you work with a SELECT statement. CONCAT () function combines data among columns. It is not limited with two columns but may work with multiple columns as you combine it with another CONCAT function. Use two double-pipe symbols (||) instead if you opt not to use CONCAT function. Not all columns are filled up or has values on it in a given table. When a column contains no data even a single space, it has a NULL value. In using DB2 command line, a NULL column is represented by a single dash. When generating a SELECT statement output it has no general sorting order on its result. To specify the correct sorting order, use ORDER BY clause after FROM. Ascending is the default order when sorting a particular column. If you want to sort in descending order, use DESC. Sort order is not limited with one column. You may combine with multiple columns by specifying which column to sort first followed by the next column order to sort. CONCAT, ORDER BY, and NULL are universal in all dbms SQL products. It is the same if you use MS SQL Server, MySQl, Informix, Oracle, and DB2. Link for the ebook will be announced later.

Link for all dot net and sql server video tutorial playlists http://www.youtube.com/user/kudvenkat/playlists Link for slides, code samples and text version of the video http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/2014/05/part-1-how-to-find-nth-highest-salary_17.html This is a very common SQL Server Interview Question. There are several ways of finding the nth highest salary. By the end of this video, we will be able to answer all the following questions as well. How to find nth highest salary in SQL Server using a Sub-Query How to find nth highest salary in SQL Server using a CTE How to find the 2nd, 3rd or 15th highest salary Let's use the following Employees table for this demo Use the following script to create Employees table Create table Employees ( ID int primary key identity, FirstName nvarchar(50), LastName nvarchar(50), Gender nvarchar(50), Salary int ) GO Insert into Employees values ('Ben', 'Hoskins', 'Male', 70000) Insert into Employees values ('Mark', 'Hastings', 'Male', 60000) Insert into Employees values ('Steve', 'Pound', 'Male', 45000) Insert into Employees values ('Ben', 'Hoskins', 'Male', 70000) Insert into Employees values ('Philip', 'Hastings', 'Male', 45000) Insert into Employees values ('Mary', 'Lambeth', 'Female', 30000) Insert into Employees values ('Valarie', 'Vikings', 'Female', 35000) Insert into Employees values ('John', 'Stanmore', 'Male', 80000) GO To find the highest salary it is straight forward. We can simply use the Max() function as shown below. Select Max(Salary) from Employees To get the second highest salary use a sub query along with Max() function as shown below. Select Max(Salary) from Employees where Salary [ (Select Max(Salary) from Employees) To find nth highest salary using Sub-Query SELECT TOP 1 SALARY FROM ( SELECT DISTINCT TOP N SALARY FROM EMPLOYEES ORDER BY SALARY DESC ) RESULT ORDER BY SALARY To find nth highest salary using CTE WITH RESULT AS ( SELECT SALARY, DENSE_RANK() OVER (ORDER BY SALARY DESC) AS DENSERANK FROM EMPLOYEES ) SELECT TOP 1 SALARY FROM RESULT WHERE DENSERANK = N To find 2nd highest salary we can use any of the above queries. Simple replace N with 2. Similarly, to find 3rd highest salary, simple replace N with 3. Please Note: On many of the websites, you may have seen that, the following query can be used to get the nth highest salary. The below query will only work if there are no duplicates. WITH RESULT AS ( SELECT SALARY, ROW_NUMBER() OVER (ORDER BY SALARY DESC) AS ROWNUMBER FROM EMPLOYEES ) SELECT SALARY FROM RESULT WHERE ROWNUMBER = 3

Oracle Reports | Theoretical Concept About Reports Builder & Reports Style | Bangla (Reports-01) To See More Reports Tutorial Click here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_0f_iILlmY&list=PLXXvCMuixAJUfU4ZISmPtHrmKe5qRvyVY To See More Forms Tutorial Click here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zsu4CWo_vwk&list=PLXXvCMuixAJU3Ap_FE2zSEBicv8IC5kDU Dear viewer, In this tutorial you will know theoretic concept About Reports Builder & Reports Style. About Oracle reports Builder: Oracle Reports Builder is a component of the Oracle Developer suit. It publish data from any source, in any format, to any destination with high fidelity. It is a powerful enterprise reporting tool that enables you to rapidly develop and deploy sophisticated Web and paper reports against any data source (including an Oracle database, JDBC, XML, text files, and Oracle OLAP). Oracle Reports Builders is a collection of programs that allows you to centralize report processing and better manage reporting efforts. Reports builder is one of the program components included with Oracle Reports Builder. Features include: -User-friendly wizards that guide you through the report design process. -Pluggable data sources (PDSs), such as JDBC and XML, that provide access to data from any source for your reports. -A query builder with a graphical representation of the SQL statement to obtain report data. -Default report templates and layout styles that can be customized if needed. - A live editor that enables you to modify paper report layouts in WYSIWYG mode. Benefits : Oracle Reports enables us to publish data from any source in any format with high fidelity. In addition to SQL, PL/SQL, and Express, you can publish data from Java Database Connectivity(JDBC) sources, XML, text files, or your own data sources that you have defined. Develop your report once, deploy it anywhere. -Output formats include HTML, HTMLCSS, XML, PDF, text, Postscript, RTF, delimited, character, etc. Oracle Reports uses a standards-base, modular architecture. Supported File Types: Oracle Reports can be saved in a variety of formats and then deployed with Oracle Application Server. JSP-JavaServer Page Format RDF-Report Definition File: Binary file containing source code. REP-Report: Binary file without source code. HTML-Hyper Text Markup Language. XML-Extensible Markup Language. Tabular Reports: A tabular report is the most basic type of report. Each column corresponds to a column selected from the database. Group Above Reports: A group above report contains multiple groups in its data model. It is a "master/detail" report, where there may be a lot of information in the master group. For every master group, the related values of the detail group(s) are fetched from the database and are displayed below the master information. Group Left Reports: A group left report also contains multiple groups in its data model, dividing the rows of a table based on a common value in one of the columns. Use this type of report to restrict a column from repeating the same value several times while values of related columns change. The data model for group above and group left reports is the same, but the layouts differ; group above reports display the master information at the top while group left reports display break columns to the side. Matrix Reports: A matrix (cross-product) report is a cross-tabulation of four groups of data: One group of data is displayed across the page. One group of data is displayed down the page. One group of data is the cross-product, which determines all possible locations where the across and down data relate and places a cell in those locations. One group of data is displayed as the "filler" of the cells. We have the following table. ID Value 1 123 2 ABC 3 DEF 4 901 5 JKL Write a SQL query to retrieve rows that contain only numerical data. SQL Script to create the TestTable Create Table TestTable ( ID int identity primary key, Value nvarchar(50) ) Insert into TestTable values ('123') Insert into TestTable values ('ABC') Insert into TestTable values ('DEF') Insert into TestTable values ('901') Insert into TestTable values ('JKL') This is very easy to achieve. If you have used ISNUMERIC() function in SQL Server, then you already know the answer. Here is the query SELECT Value FROM TestTable WHERE ISNUMERIC(Value) = 1 ISNUMERIC function returns 1 when the input expression evaluates to a valid numeric data type, otherwise it returns 0. For the list of all valid numeric data types in SQL Server please visit the following MSDN link. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms186272(v=sql.110).aspx

20 Different ways of gathering Request parameter Values from client request to servlet program | adv

42:12
#Different #Approaches #of #gathering #Request #param #Values #from #client #generated #request #to #servlet #program: #Adv #Java #Servlet #programming #Tutorial #advance #java #tutorial Note : We can use service (-,-) method of our servlet program & we can use either ServeltRequest or HttpServletRequest object to gather parameter names, values. Example Request Url: http ://localhost:2020/4DiffReqeustParam/test?sno=233&sname=yogesh&course=java&course=oracle -------------------------------- Query string having request params E:\4DiffReqeustParam |----WEB-INF |----web.xml |----classes |-----DiffRequestParam.java |-----DiffRequest.class Approach 1: Using getParameter(-) method ----------- String p1=req.getParameter("sno"); String p2=req.getParameter("sname"); String p3=req.getParameter("course"); pw.println(p1+", "+p2+", "+p3); Note : Here we must know, the request param name to get its value when request contains multiple values, we can get one first value. Approach 2: Using getParameterNames() method ----------- Enumeration e=req.getParameterNames(); while(e.hasMoreElements()){ //get each requst param name String pname=(String)e.nextElement(); //get each request param value String pval=req.getParameter(pname); pw.println(pname +" -- "+ pval); } Note : gives all request param names & values. If request param contains multiple values we will get only one value. Approach 3: Using req.getParameterValues(-) method ----------- String s[]=req.getParameterValues("course"); //gives s[] having java, oracle as element values s[]={"java","oracle"} 0 1 for(int i=0;i less than s.length;++i){ pw.println(s[i]+" "); } //to get only first value of course request param String s1=req.getParameterValues("course")[0]; //gives 'java' //to get only second value of course request param String s2=req.getParameterValues("course")[1]; //gives 'oracle'

How to find duplicate records in table sql

There are various times when we need to find duplicate records in SQL Server. It is possible to find duplicates using DISTINCT, ROW NUMBER as well as the GROUP BY approach. ------------- May be you like this -------------- umbraco playlist : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoefdruzmGE&list=PLv0T7WlllnSnYRedhwL8x-atkVxrSdd3m Angularjs playlist : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXjD1RiAz1U&list=PLv0T7WlllnSkCfNftTNY8tWqCFWT0sIMd jquery playlist : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVncasz_iyw&list=PLv0T7WlllnSkkNahiiWu_GMXq49X5ccfe F Wcf playlist : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NB4k0RC6vl0&list=PLv0T7WlllnSmcGHacEQnLgKvitcJEsSl6 c# playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrP0NKbsr8s&list=PLv0T7WlllnSl9pZWMaMGsyoAmqZtW4gM0 Duplicate records can create problems sometimes when displaying reports or performing a Multiple Insert update. Finding duplicate records in a database needs further investigation. In some cases, duplicate records are positive, but it all depends on the data and the database design as well. For example, if a customer has ordered the same product twice on the same date with the the same shipping and billing address, then this may result in a duplicate record.

jQuery case insensitive attribute selector

Link for all dot net and sql server video tutorial playlists https://www.youtube.com/user/kudvenkat/playlists?sort=dd&view=1 Link for slides, code samples and text version of the video http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/2015/03/jquery-case-insensitive-attribute.html In this video we will discuss, how to write a jQuery case-insensitive attribute value selector. Let us understand this with an example. The following example, only selects DIV 1. This is because jQuery attribute value selector is case-sensitive. [html] [head] [title][/title] [script src="Scripts/jquery-1.11.2.js"][/script] [script type="text/javascript"] $(document).ready(function () { $('div[title="DivTitle"]').css('border', '3px solid red'); }); [/script] [/head] [body] [div title="DivTitle"] DIV 1 [/div] [br /] [div title="DIVTITLE"] DIV 2 [/div] [br /] [div title="divtitle"] DIV 3 [/div] [/body] [/html] Use the following code to make the jQuery attribute value selector case-insensitive [script type="text/javascript"] $(document).ready(function () { $('div[title]').filter(function () { return $(this).attr('title').toLowerCase() == 'divtitle'; }).css('border', '3px solid red'); }); [/script] The above script should select all the 3 divs. Now let us look at an example of making attribute contains selector [name*="value"], case-insensitive. The following example, selects only DIV 1 element. This is because the attribute contains selector is case-sensitive. [html] [head] [title][/title] [script src="Scripts/jquery-1.11.2.js"][/script] [script type="text/javascript"] $(document).ready(function () { $('div[title*="Div"]').css('border', '3px solid red'); }); [/script] [/head] [body] [div title="DivTitle1"] DIV 1 [/div] [br /] [div title="DIVTITLE2"] DIV 2 [/div] [br /] [div title="divtitle3"] DIV 3 [/div] [/body] [/html] To make attribute contains selector case-insensitive, use filter() method and regular expression as shown below. [script type="text/javascript"] $(document).ready(function () { $('div[title]').filter(function () { return (/Div/i).test($(this).attr('title')); }).css('border', '3px solid red'); }); [/script] OR [script type="text/javascript"] $(document).ready(function () { $('div[title]').filter(function () { return RegExp('Div','i').test($(this).attr('title')); }).css('border', '3px solid red'); }); [/script] The above script should select all the 3 divs. Visual Studio Keyboard Shortcuts Convert Selected Text to Upper Case - CTRL + SHIFT + U Convert Selected Text to Lower Case - CTRL + U

(19:21) Track List created with http://www.vinjavideo.com. --- --- Will Oracle be the winner in the platform wars? | #oow15 by Andrew Ruggiero | Oct 26, 2015 “Interclouding” is one of the terms being used to describe the move from the old client-server model to the new world of integrated cloud and hybrid cloud engineered solutions. The enterprise requires solutions both on-premise and in the cloud platforms that function together seamlessly. Amit Zavery, SVP of Cloud Platform and Integration at Oracle, sat down with John Furrier and Jeff Frick, cohosts of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, during Oracle OpenWorld 2015 to discuss where Oracle fits among the whales and why it plans to be a winner in the platform wars. Three in one Zavery was quick to point out that Oracle has the only cloud solution that contains the big three: infrastructure, software and Platform as a Service. While acknowledging the other players like Amazon Web Services, Inc., Microsoft Azure and Google, no single one of them is capable of providing a complete solution for the cloud that can be fully integrated, he said. This more complete approach, Zavery explained, is part of Oracle’s mission to deliver a consumer simple type interface across the board but for the enterprise consumer and in all areas. This gives Oracle a distinct advantage, as firms utilizing different cloud platforms will have one of those three services limiting their growth or adding complexity resulting in greater cost. On and off premise As an on-premise middleware provider for decades, Oracle has an established and meaningful record, and according to Zavery, moving data from premises to the cloud and then back should be easy. This is because Oracle’s platform is capable of providing an integrated system between the two so that data can be easily transferred. As an example, Zavery referenced being able to take on-premise data, move it to the cloud for alteration and then seamlessly move the data back to the on-premise site for analytics. This gives the enterprise customer the ultimate in flexibility and ultimately creates an agile environment attractive to any business. @theCUBE #oow15

Oracle Reports | Different Style of Reports (Tabular, Group Left and Group Above) R-05 To See More Reports Tutorial Click here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_0f_iILlmY&list=PLXXvCMuixAJUfU4ZISmPtHrmKe5qRvyVY To See More Forms Tutorial Click here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zsu4CWo_vwk&list=PLXXvCMuixAJU3Ap_FE2zSEBicv8IC5kDU Dear viewer, In this tutorial you will know how to create tabular reports, group left reports and group above reports using wizard. Report Styles There are several report styles in Oracle Reports Builder. Tabular reports Group above reports Group left reports Matrix reports Tabular Reports: A tabular report is the most basic type of report. Each column corresponds to a column selected from the database. Group Above Reports: A group above report contains multiple groups in its data model. It is a "master/detail" report, where there may be a lot of information in the master group. For every master group, the related values of the detail group(s) are fetched from the database and are displayed below the master information. BluePrism - String Reg Expressions || Reality & Useful

19:58
Hi Friends, Now we will discuss about 'Utility - String' Regular expressions -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why we need to use regular expressions and which scenario we need to use them? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Let's take an example, I have one data item contains alphabates and I want to check wheather the data item having only alphabates or numbers or alphanumarics or any other condition checks. These type of operations we can do using regular expressions. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- we can find the syntaxs of regular expressions in w3scools. see here few of the regular expressions [abc] the string should contains a, b, c letters combination only [^abc] doesn't contains the combination of a, b, c or individually [0-9] string must contains only digits [^0-9] string should not contain numbers (x|y) Find any of the alternatives specified --------------------------------------------------------------------------- let's try on these expressions using 'Utility - String' regular expressions See we have an Action to use 'Test Regex Match' and it is expecting the inputs Regex Pattern - This is regular expression syntax Target String - This is, on which string we have to match Output will be the Flag type mean, either matching or not, true or false --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Let's check with the number [0-9] pattern My target string should contain only numbers not any other symboles or alphabates. let's check it See I got true, because my target string having only number. If I give alphabates? see the result -- I got the false result What if I give combination of alphabates and numbers or other symboles too? see once Well, we got true. That means it is accepting the other characters along with the numbers. Let's restrict the alphabates in this using [0-9] ^[a-b] we got the false. --------------------------------------------------------- 2. Now we will see about [abc] expression I gave target string with in the abc letters that's why I got true. Let's include other characters. It gave me true and accepting the other letters If we don't want other letters to accept include ^[d-z] Let's try See now we got false. ^ means inverse/not case Now we will avoid the abc letters and use it for [abc] expression Results are false, because Target string doesn't contain abc letters. Make sure to know about the meaning of regular expression first. already we got idea about ^ symbol ^ - not case [] - are used for expression symbol - - used for range(between) like 0 to 9 or between 'a' and 'z' Thank you for watching video

This video will provide you the details of each string functions in SQL Server 2014. I'll be walking through each and every kinds of build in function which are available in SQL Server in my next videos. Previous video for more String Functions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cgn44DZ7w8 ******************************************************************************* SOUNDEX (Transact-SQL) Returns a four-character (SOUNDEX) code to evaluate the similarity of two strings. The SOUNDEX() returns a four digit code for a varchar value passed to it. The same code is returned for all those names whose pronunciation is similar.  Syntax -- Syntax for SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Parallel Data Warehouse SOUNDEX ( character_expression )  Arguments character_expression Is an alphanumeric expression of character data. character_expression can be a constant, variable, or column.  Return Types Varchar ******************************************************************************* DIFFERENCE (Transact-SQL) Returns an integer value that indicates the difference between the SOUNDEX values of two character expressions.  Syntax -- Syntax for SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Parallel Data Warehouse DIFFERENCE ( character_expression , character_expression )  Arguments character_expression Is an alphanumeric expression of character data. character_expression can be a constant, variable, or column.  Return Types int ******************************************************************************* LEFT (Transact-SQL) Returns the left part of a character string with the specified number of characters.  Syntax -- Syntax for SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Parallel Data Warehouse LEFT ( character_expression , integer_expression )  Arguments character_expression Is an expression of character or binary data. character_expression can be a constant, variable, or column. character_expression can be of any data type, except text or ntext, that can be implicitly converted to varchar or nvarchar. Otherwise, use the CAST function to explicitly convertcharacter_expression. integer_expression Is a positive integer that specifies how many characters of the character_expression will be returned. If integer_expression is negative, an error is returned. If integer_expression is type bigint and contains a large value, character_expression must be of a large data type such as varchar(max).  Return Types Returns varchar when character_expression is a non-Unicode character data type. Returns nvarchar when character_expression is a Unicode character data type. ******************************************************************************* LEN (Transact-SQL) Returns the number of characters of the specified string expression, excluding trailing blanks.  Syntax -- Syntax for SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Parallel Data Warehouse LEN ( string_expression )  Arguments string_expression Is the string expression to be evaluated. string_expression can be a constant, variable, or column of either character or binary data.  Return Types bigint if expression is of the varchar(max), nvarchar(max) or varbinary(max) data types; otherwise, int. ******************************************************************************* LOWER (Transact-SQL) Returns a character expression after converting uppercase character data to lowercase.  Syntax -- Syntax for SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Parallel Data Warehouse LOWER ( character_expression )  Arguments character_expression Is an expression of character or binary data. character_expression can be a constant, variable, or column. character_expression must be of a data type that is implicitly convertible to varchar. How to include a single quote in a SQL query

06:14
In this video we learn how to include a single quote in our SQL text by "escaping" the quote. In SQL server single quotes are used to mark the beginning and end of a text string. However, if your text contains single quote, that poses an problem, if it is left alone it will be treated like a delimiter.

Mortem Oraculum Oracle Deck - Painted With Human Blood - Teaser Video

00:38
Mortem Oraculum Conceived by Matthew Brown Painted by Ryan Almighty Produced by Artem Mortis The mortem oraculum oracle deck presents 22 lavishly painted cards infused with the beauty and inspiration of “death” representing the transitory nature of all things. Each of the original cards used to create this deck were meticulously hand painted using real human blood.. In many cultures blood is a prevailing symbol of life and death. Rich in symbolic detail these exquisite blood paintings combine fully blended dark images of death by use of animals and alchemical symbols. Death is not a means to an end, but a symbolic representation of change. This set contains 22 cards numbered to represent their numerological value. Each card has a guide word printed on it and can be used to invoke insight and timeless wisdom. It’s with the flow of blood the art of life shall rise For death does not exist In nature nothing dies. The 22 oracle cards are prints of the original blood paintings. No human blood was used on the individual decks www.mortemoraculum.com

You specify initialization parameters in a parameter file that reflect your particular installation. Types of Parameter Files: Oracle supports the following two types of parameter files: 1.Server parameter file (SPFILE) 2.Text initialization parameter file (PFILE) Location Of Parameter Files: SPFILE: E:\app\Administrator\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\database PFILE: E:\app\Administrator\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\database Create Text initialization parameter file(PFILE): Command:sql-create pfile from spfile; Create Server parameter file (SPFILE): Go shutdown mode sql-shutdown immediate Command: sql-create spfile from pfile; To Get more Tutorial Subscribe The Channel click here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ3ea4zVCfnKBx1_7h8raGQ?sub_confirmation=1 To Get All Post Like The Facebook Page Click here https://www.facebook.com/oracledbsolutions Follow us: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/oracledbsolutions Youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ3ea4zVCfnKBx1_7h8raGQ?view_as=subscriber Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/465557066961548 Contact us: email: [email protected] Skype: oracle26solutions Mob: 01734557080, 01627422780

Link for all dot net and sql server video tutorial playlists http://www.youtube.com/user/kudvenkat/playlists Link for slides, code samples and text version of the video http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/2014/05/part-1-how-to-retrieve-data-from.html Several of our youtube channel subscribers faced this question in a dot net written test. We have 2 databases 1. USADB - Contains Employees table that stores only US Employees 2. UKDB - Contains Employees table that stores only UK Employees Implement an asp.net web page that retrieves data from the Employees table both from USADB and UKDB databases. Add a webform to the project. Drag and drop a GridView control on the webform. Copy and paste the following code in the code-behind file. using System; using System.Configuration; using System.Data; using System.Data.SqlClient; namespace Demo { public partial class WebForm1 : System.Web.UI.Page { protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { string USADBCS = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["USADB"].ConnectionString; string UKDBCS = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["UKDB"].ConnectionString; SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection(USADBCS); SqlDataAdapter da = new SqlDataAdapter("select * from Employees", con); DataSet ds1 = new DataSet(); da.Fill(ds1); con = new SqlConnection(UKDBCS); da.SelectCommand.Connection = con; DataSet ds2 = new DataSet(); da.Fill(ds2); ds1.Merge(ds2); Gridview1.DataSource = ds1; Gridview1.DataBind(); } } }

Informatica parameter file

08:56
Informatica parameters and variables are used to minimize hard-coding in ETL, thereby increasing flexibility, reusability, readabilty and avoides rework by changing the values in the ETL Parameter files provide us with the flexibility to change parameter and variable values every time we run a session or workflow with out touching the mapping A parameter file contains two sections: 1. Heading section: It is to identify the integration service, folder, workflow, worklet, session to which the parameters or variables apply 2. Definition Section This section contains list of parameters and variables with their assigned values

02 How to configure Rang partition In oracle database

15:35
Now a days enterprises run databases of hundred of Gigabytes in size. These databases are known as Very Large Databases (VLDB). From Oracle Ver. 8.0 Oracle has provided the feature of table partitioning i.e. you can partition a table according to some criteria . For example you have a SALES table with the following structure Suppose this table contains millions of records, but all the records belong to four years only i.e. 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1994. And most of the time you are concerned about only one year i.e. you give queries like the following select sum(amt) from sales where year=1991; select product, sum(amt) from sales where year=1992 Group by product; Now whenever you give queries like this Oracle will search the whole table. If you partition this table according to year, then the performance is improve since oracle will scan only a single partition instead of whole table. This type of partitioning is useful when dealing with data that has logical ranges into which it can be distributed; for example, value of year. Performance is best when the data evenly distributes across the range

Hierarchical Queries: Databases for Developers #16

09:38
Often data contains a parent-child relationship between rows in the same table. For example, company org charts and family trees. You can use the power of SQL to traverse these hierarchical relationships. There are two ways to do this in Oracle Database: - Connect By - Recursive With Watch this video to learn about data trees and find out how these work!
