Trip report, flying from Hong Kong to Amsterdam on the mighty 747! Welcome to this new video :) In february 2018, I flew on the 747 for the first time, with KLM. A 12 hour flight, but I didn’t get bored for a single minute. I was so happy to finally fly on this airplane! My experience with KLM (Long haul): I had some problems with filming onboard, one cabin attendant didn’t like it that I was filming everything, which was quite annoying. The food was average, most of it tasted okay, and there was a lot of food. Lunch, dinner, sandwiches, cookies, etc:) The seat pitch was quite bad, I think I had more space on their 737-800 :P So overall I would recommend flying long haul with KLM, their services are quite good, but when you prefer to have a good seat pitch I’d recommend to fly on their newer planes instead of the 747. At least I really enjoyed flying on this classic plane! :) Flight: KL888 Route: Hong Kong - Amsterdam Plane: KLM 747-400, PH-BFL Seat: 44A Date: February 21, 2018 Camera: Sony FDR-AX53 If you want to make a small donation, you can click on the following link:) https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=EQQCDMJ3FJ6BS Follow me on social media! :) Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/aviationvideography/ Instagram: @mylosairplanefan Twitter: https://twitter.com/mylos1998 This video is property of mylosairplanefan and may not be used in any way without my permission. Gladly appreciate your tips and donations! PayPal: [email protected] paypal.me/amandeuce All earnings are invested in Airline Travel! Hello fellas For those of you who have noticed, I had to delete the first version of this review because I used copyrighted music, my mistake. I just edited new music to it and reuploaded again. I'm sorry that you have to rewrite your comment if you already dropped one ;) Sorry for any inconvenience! So some details about this review...this is the return flight of my short NYC trip in September 2015. I could choose between Delta's non stop flight to Zurich, KLM or Air France. Since KLM is a very likeable airline and added brand new business class seats to their planes I decided to give it a try. Our plane was a rather old 747-400 combi, meaning that there is a cargo compartment behind the economy class. I really enjoyed their business class service, everything was pretty well organized, the delta lounge is pretty nice and I really liked that new seat. Pretty comfortable, a good amount of privacy, a very large screen and some nice details make this a good business class seat. And I had my best and deepest sleep ever, though I'm not quite sure if the seat was that great or the alcohol hit me hard this time ;) The crew was doing a great job, they were always friendly and helpful, very attentive and in a good mood. Initially one of the FA's was a bit skeptic about me filming all the time, but after a nice chat about why I would walk around with a camera all the time she was totally relaxed about it. The food was good too, meal service started quickly after takeoff and there was enough time to get a good amount of sleep. Only thing I can say is that I didn't like the plastic dishes. Anyhow, KLM offers a great business class product and I would fly them anytime again! Today's video is from my outbound leg to Amsterdam, where I flew onboard a KLM Cityhopper Embrear E190 from Bristol. This made a nice change from the usual low cost airlines, and for a very similar price for a return ticket! This flight was the start of a fantastic plane spotting visit to the Netherlands last summer. This flight has been detailed through captions throughout the video, so sit back and relax, I hope you enjoy! I have also included a few clips from the Panorama Terrace at the end of this video, including a very special liveried Icelandair 757! This is a brand new trip report style of video for my channel and would like to know what everyone thinks of the added captions and more active feel, leave your opinions in the comments! AIRLINE TRIP REPORT ►Watch more of our Airline Trip Reports here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vnB59Zi3AI&list=PLFZOg4H3C0gGcY8HOUkh-fWwELBYuWXn2 KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Economy Class Flight Review (Tripreport). This is a Flight Review of our Long Haul KLM Economy Class - KLM Coach - flight from Kuala Lumpur to Amsterdam Schiphol onboard a KLM Boeing 777 aircraft. The video covers flight aspects such as the time we spent at Kuala Lumpur Airport, Boarding of our KLM Flight to Amsterdam, a walk through the aircraft where we pass through the KLM Economy Comfort Cabin, a view of our seats in the KLM Economy Class Cabin, a look at the blankets and pillow presented to all Economy Class KLM passengers, a look at KLM´s Inflight Entertainment System (showing inflight movies, inflight TV programs, inflight children´s entertainment etc), Inflight drinks (complimentary drinks throughout the flight including alcoholic drinks), Inflight Meals including dinner and breakfast, KLM Snackbox (complimentary snacks throughout the flight), a KLM Amenity Kit for all Economy Class Passengers (the kit included a toothbrush & toothpaste, an eye mask, ear plugs, cashew nuts and a bottle of water) a view of the KLM Boeing 777 Galley and the KLM Boeing 777 Lavatory. We also include footage of us boarding and disembarking this KLM Flight from Kuala Lumpur to Amsterdam Schiphol and of course the takeoff at Kuala Lumpur and landing at Amsterdam are also included in this video. OUR IMPRESSIONS OF KLM ROYAL DUTCH AIRLINES: - The cabin crew onboard this flight were friendly, professional and very efficient. We were particularly happy with how quickly they collected our trays after we had finished our meals. - The inflight food and drink service was good. We very much appreciated the Amenity Kit which contained a bottle of water to drink as soon as we reached our seat. We also enjoyed the complimentary snackbox. We would however have preferred a hot dinner as apposed to the Wrap we were served. - The legroom on this flight was acceptable. Those of us taller than 6 Foot would however always appreciate "A Little More Space!" - The Inflight Entertainment System had a good selection of movies. We did wish that it had a touchscreen functionality like the more modern IFE´s we have had on other airlines. The map system was slow and the text language was difficult to control (the text was often Chinese). VERDICT: We enjoyed this flight from start to end. The efficient, smiley and friendly crew members made it a pleasure to be on board this aircraft. The meal service was satisfactory and the little extras such as the Amenity Kit and Complimentary Snackbox helped make this a "memorable" flight. We would happily fly a Long-haul Route with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines again. I had already flown to San Francisco on the Boeing 747 but I also had to come back. KLM operated this route with two aircraft type in summer. On my return flight I flew on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. An 11 hour non-stop flight. I did forget to mention that according to the seat map, the aircraft was supposed to be completely full, but yet there were still seats in the Economy Comfort cabin available that the crew tried to sell for € 170 ($195) to people in regular economy. No one did that. I had the whole row to myself, but unfortunately I sat on the bulkhead row, where the armrests are immovable due to the IFE screen. It was still a good flight and I enjoyed it very much. Come along with me on this trip from Bologna (Italy) to Oslo (Norway) via Amsterdam (Netherlands) with KLM in Business Class. I have flown KLM in the past, but this is the first time I'm traveling with them in Business, and all in all I found their product to be very satisfactory. Before the flight I was able to visit the MBL third-party lounge where there were only a few people hanging around, and while the food selection was limited as usual, I did find the mushroom pasta to be really tasty. The onboard experience is off to a good start with a very friendly and engaging cabin crew, also I found the seating to be comfortable and in a good condition. I did somewhat miss a pre-departure drink, though. We took off from Bologna on-time leaving behind the murky weather, and shortly afterwards the onboard service started. Tonight's meal consisted of a shrimp salad with vegetables, very tasty and nicely presented! Our flight route took us over the Italian and Austrian Alps as well as Germany, and at one point during the descent towards Amsterdam, fireworks could be seen - something I have never experienced before on an airplane. The KLM Crown lounge at AMS is great: modern and spacious with a nice atmosphere, and an extensive selection of food and beverages. Also, Schiphol is an efficient for flight connections, even though walking times can be long. The flight to Oslo was once again operated by a 737, though this time it was a -700 airframe. Unlike on the first flight a welcome drink was served; I don't know if it was because of a slight delay, but it was a nice touch nevertheless. We took off from the Polderbaan which meant a very long taxiing time, and again a tasty meal was served shortly after take-off, this time a salmon salad. The flight was mostly uneventful, though there were some pretty nice nighttime views during the approach. Hope you'll enjoy the video; any comments or questions are welcome! Trip report, KLM 737 to Birmingham. Welcome all to this new tripreport! This video includes footage of my flight from Amsterdam Schiphol to Birmingham, on march 9th 2018. I went to Birmingham for a plane spotting trip :) It was just a normal flight, like every other short-haul flight with KLM. Friendly crew, good seat pitch, and a nice atmosphere onboard. One small disadvantage was, that they didn’t served vegetarian food. Beside that, I enjoyed the flight a lot. Hope you enjoy watching :) More information below. Firstly, to all my subscribers, THANK YOU! 5,000 subs in just over a year is FANTASTIC. I’m also approaching ONE MILLION VIEWS of the channel, and this is only possible because you subscribe and give my videos exposure. You’ve probably got used to my format. Now I’m sitting on a new year, 5k subs and ~1m views, I’m turning the channel up a notch. New titles, a different editing style, more detail about the technical and logistical aspects of the flight, a new closing screen, and of course you get to see my face (not sure if that is an improvement, but I’m sure you will all leave feedback!). I’ll also be posting every Friday and Sunday where possible, and I aim to complete at least 50 more videos this year, doubling the size of the channel! Onto the report itself – follow me as I take a KLM 737-900 between London Heathrow Terminal 4 and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. I’m a brand new Flying Blue member – and I intend to build up to Elite status this year – but I managed to access the SkyTeam Lounge at T4 thanks to an old Alitalia Freccia Alata Plus status match (which expires in March). Enjoy a fine takeoff from Runway 27R, a brief tour of some of southern England’s aerodromes from the air, some inflight service, food and beverage highlights, as well as a beautifully smooth landing into Schiphol. This was actually my first time with KLM, and I hope you liked the video as much as I liked the trip. My first 787 flight onboard KLM returning home after a 10 day vacation through the Benelux region, Paris and Trier Germany. Overall a nice flight with friendly and attentive FA's, ample meals and good IFE. However, I will probably avoid flying the 787 in the future as I find it to be a tight and cramped plane. 0:23 boarding 2:15 pushback 4:06 takeoff 6:41 lunch service 7:11 cabin walk through 9:30 second meal service 11:20 descent and landing

Trip Report: Flying KLM Royal Dutch Airlines from Berlin Tegel to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport onboard the Boeing 737-800. The flight was delayed by more then 1,5 hours because of strike in Berlin. I was "upgraded" to a seat more in the front which had a lot of Leg Room (4A) to increase my chance getting my connecting flight to London Heathrow. Well - I can tell you now - I didn't make it and i missed my first Fokker 70 flight... I was then rebooked on a later flight that i will review in another video. Apart from that i really liked the flight with KLM - also that they still offer free snack and drink services on their flights - gives it something more special! Hope you enjoyed this Trip Report of my KLM 737-800 flight to Amsterdam which took about 1 hour btw! TRIP REPORT of my KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Boeing 777-300ER flight from Jakarta, Indonesia to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in Economy Class. This 2 hour long fifth freedom flight within Asia was a good and cheap way to try out KLM's Economy Class product normally found on long haul flights. The same aircraft continued the journey back to Amsterdam about two hours later after we arrived in Kuala Lumpur where I got off. The aircraft was quite new (1,6 years) and offered a solid cabin product with good leg room, a personal video screen and a universal power outlet. During the flight they served drinks and a warm pastry which is fine for a 2 hour evening flight. They also offered some alcoholic beverages including beer and wine. If you are living in the area or simply want to experience this KLM flight yourself you can book a ticket from 37€ (~40$) one-way which is a great way to fly the mighty Boeing 777-300ER! My first long-haul flight with KLM and I flew their Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner from Amsterdam (AMS) to Mauritius (MRU). This was a night flight and unfortunately it was not in business class. I had seat 31C in economy. The flight took just eleven hours, take off at 17:44 and we landed at Mauritius at 07:28 local time. ** press trip! ** The aircraft, "Lavender", is KLM's eighth 787 Dreamliner, registration PH-BHI. It was delivered in September 2016. In the movie I show flight potting on Schiphol airport, check-in, bagdrop, boarding, cabin, lavatory, food, IFE with movies and so on. Thank you Patrons for contributing so I can afford the subscription!! 🙌🏻) Something a little bit different this week. I ramble on for a bit at the beginning of this video (whoops), but hopefully it’ll give you some context about the video. I think it also shows how difficult it can be to organise making this sort of content. Humberside is one of the novelty Regional airports scattered around Britain that I haven’t yet “ticked off” (other airports like this are Durham Tees Valley and Newquay for example!). KLM have had a link to Amsterdam for as long as I can remember and is probably the marquee route for this small, strange former RAF base in the middle of North Lincolnshire. The hotel room I stayed in even looks out onto a Schiphol Road. It was great to meet Sunil (unexpectedly!), and while it was disappointing to miss out on the retirement of one of my favourite aircraft, I really love the Embraers. Big windows, decent legroom, and a sleek design make it an aircraft I’m building a soft spot for. My first Trip Report on KLM to Amsterdam. This Trip Report contains scenes from boarding, takeoff, meal service, landing and a brief clip of the Rijks Museum square. KLM is a pleasant airline to travel on! Friendly flight attendants, free booze, and a hot breakfast for a reasonable fare. My only complaint was the 3-4-3 layout of the economy cabin which results in thin and narrow seats with minimal cushioning. I had to use no less than 3 pillows for butt, lumbar, and head support. But aside from those defects I would certainly fly KLM again but they earnestly need to consider installing a real premium economy product like Air France or Lufthansa if they want to remain competitive. If you liked this video please subscribe. Plenty more are to come including my return flight on KLM 787! Stay tuned Take-off 5:02 Dinner 7:52 Inflight entertainment & map 11:26 Breakfast 13:53 Descent & landing 16:20 Rijks Square 22:51

Trip Report: Flying KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Boeing 737-700 from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) to London Heathrow (LHR) in Economy Class. KLM serves a free snack and drink on this short 1 hour flight and the leg room was ok for me. Follow me around and get to see Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, the Cabin of this KLM 737-700 (PH-BGR), Takeoff and Landing, as well as the snack served inflight. Seat was 18F. Before I got the "new" flight i had to go to the ticketing desk because my first flight that day had delay because of strike in Berlin TXL - thats why i missed my Fokker 70 flight and got rebooked on this KLM 737 flight to LHR. Two Cameras. See the other full flight video next week please subscribe. KLM Flight Report in economy class with cockpit visit from Manchester airport to Amsterdam Schiphol. The Cabin Crew were very friendly, from the beginning of the video you hear them ask about the filming in the terminal, which was good because we talked a little while and he made it so that i could visit the cockpit after landing which was nice. The airport on arrival and departure were polar opposites, on landing immigration just smiled and said "he does this guy over here look like ed sheeran" (pointing at his immigration friend) on departure i just got no hello or a smile but a question "where are you going" i felt like saying "where are you going?" i actually was shocked at the attitude and couldn't speak so i held up my boarding pass. We got a cake and drink as seen in my full flight video.

My second long haul flight with KLM and I travel home from Mauritius to Sweden. I'm flying in a Dreamliner 787-9 (PH-BHE) from Port Louis (MRU) to Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS). This is a day flight so I thought to be awake the whole flight, amazingly beautiful when tropical remote islands pass under us in the ocean. This aircraft is called "Dahlia" and delivered to KLM at the end of March 2016. There are 30 places in business, 48 in Economy Comfort and 216 in Economy. I myself travel in economy class. In the movie I show MRU airport, boarding, cabin, food, IFE with movies and so on. We spoke to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines CEO Pieter Elbers to find out his best travel hacks and tips. Following is a transcript of the video. Pieter Elbers: Well, beating jet-lag for me is an early morning run. So, wherever I go, I wake up early, I do my run, and that's, for me, the way to beat the jet lag. Well, being in New York now it's — there's no better place to run in the morning than in Central Park. So that's what I do. For the rest, traveling and going around is just great. I love to board the aircraft in Amsterdam and 10 hours later to be in São Paulo or be in LA or be in Shanghai, China. Everything is in a fixed place. Everything is packed in the same way. I’m boarding an aircraft about every other week, so I want to make sure I don't forget anything. I need everything to be done in the very same way. I know where everything is packed, I know the sequence of packing it. So yes, I do it in the same very structured way. Business Insider: Do you use any apps or anything to help you remember things? Elbers: No, by the time I need an app to remember what I need to pack, I should be out of a job, right? No — what I do is I have a special bag for sort of my running stuff and some of the non-business related items. And then I have a small carry-on luggage for business shirts, ties, and so-on. Well, it’s definitely not Tuesday afternoon. So, prices are changing all the time according to the season, according to the demand, according to the specific circumstances. So, I wouldn’t be able to give you a sort of specific time of the year, time of the moment. Obviously outside the holiday period, it’s — pricing is different than within the holiday period which is a bit similar I guess to hotels and all kinds of other businesses. Well, sometimes we do have overbooking situations, and in that case of course, we try to find our most loyal customers and try to reward them for their loyalty — even if they fly coach — to have them upgraded. So I guess, the answer to your question is, to be a loyal customer on KLM and you’ll have the most the chance to be upgraded. -------------------------------------------------- Follow BI Video on Twitter: http://bit.ly/1oS68Zs Follow BI on Facebook: http://bit.ly/1W9Lk0n Read more: http://www.businessinsider.com/ -------------------------------------------------- Business Insider is the fastest growing business news site in the US. Most major US carriers are 21 years or older. Some smaller airlines are 19 years or older. What are your flight benefits? Varies depending on airline. In general, we fly free on most domestic flights/airlines. To fly international, we pay a slight fee plus airport taxes. Most airlines allow you to add your parents, children, and a spouse OR one registered guest (sibling/boyfriend/girlfriend/etc). What's your schedule? It varies. A LOT. What is OPR? It stands for "On Premise Reserve." When I have OPR, I'm scheduled to sit at the airport for four hours (there are five shifts throughout the day). OPRs are used if a flight attendant/crew needs to be replaced at the last minute (within two hours of a flight's departure). Flight attendants from OPR are also used to start boarding a flight if a flight attendant/crew are running late, but will make it before departure. This prevents the flight from being delayed. What is a deadhead? The company flies the flight attendant/crew from one destination to another, but they are not working the flight (i.e. they're passengers but still on duty for the company). Do you have to pay for the hotel rooms? Do you have to share them? No and no. Do you get expense money for layovers? We do not receive cash in hand when we start a layover. We do, however, receive a minimal hourly per diem (which we do not receive until our next paycheck). How long are your layovers? Again, it varies. Could be anywhere from 11 hours to 36 hours. Which airline do you work for? A major US carrier. That's all you need to know. Are there height/weight requirements to be a flight attendant? Strictly speaking, no. However, you must be able to fit in a jumpseat, escape through an exit window, retrieve items from overhead compartments...you know, perform the basic duties of a flight attendant. Do you need a degree or any prior experience? High school degree is required; a college degree is recommended. Prior airline experience is not required. Generally speaking, airlines look for candidates who have prior experience working with people (retail, customer service, banking, nursing, etc) How long until you fly transatlantic/hold a line/what-have-you? It varies (are you seeing a pattern here?). This varies greatly depending your airline and where you're based with that airline. It's all about seniority. Choosing a base + relocation : You get based where you're needed. If you're lucky, the base you want will have openings. Some people have to wait months until their preferred base is open; in the meantime they are based elsewhere. Most airlines do not help pay for your relocation. They'll usually give you a few days off to move, that's it. --- Thank you for watching! My name is Jenny Ernst (if you haven't gathered that by now). My first flight with KLM and also the first time in a 737-900, after flying 737-6/7/800 countless times earlier. This flight fled from Stockholm Arlanda to Amsterdam Schiphol, and took only two hours. KLM departs from Arlanda Terminal 2, instead of the significantly larger Terminal 5. In Terminal 2 there are also Finnair, Air France, Wow Air and British Airways and a few more. This 737-900, PH-BXT, was manufactured in 2004 but the cabin felt significantly fresher than that. As usual on these planes it was configured 3-3 and there was plenty of legroom space as well as an adjustable tile table. On the flight, it offered a complimentary cheese sandwich and a drink (coffee, tea). ** Thanks to KLM who made this flight possible. ** Airline: KLM Aircraft: Boeing 737-9K2 (B739, PH-BXT, 2004) Date: January 19, 2018 Flight: KL1110 Seat: 22A Departure/arrival: 13:30 - 15:40 Actual departure/arrival: 13:43 - 15:30 Flight time: 1:46h
