What does WHITE LABEL PRODUCT mean? WHITE LABEL PRODUCT meaning - WHITE LABEL PRODUCT definition - WHITE LABEL PRODUCT explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. A white label product is a product or service produced by one company (the producer) that other companies (the marketers) rebrand to make it appear as if they had made it. The name derives from the image of a white label on the packaging that can be filled in with the marketer's trade dress. Its origins can be traced to vinyl records. Before records were to be released to the public, often before official artwork was designed and printed, promotional copies were sent out in a white sleeve to DJs to solicit radio and nightclub play, in an effort to build hype and gauge public interest by the record labels, ultimately to better estimate manufacturing quantities. This created a situation where certain respected or well-connected DJs would have exclusive copies of material, immediately increasing demand on certain big records. Occasionally this term refers to records whose labels had been torn off or covered with a white label by competing DJs to conceal which records they were using. White label production is often used for mass-produced generic products including electronics, consumer products and software packages such as DVD players, televisions, and web applications. Some companies maintain a sub-brand for their goods, for example the same model of DVD player may be sold by Dixons as a Saisho and by Currys as a Matsui, which are brands exclusively used by those companies. Some websites use white labels to enable a successful brand to offer a service without having to invest in creating the technology and infrastructure itself. Many IT and modern marketing companies outsource or use white-label companies and services to provide specialist services without having to invest in developing their own product. Most supermarket private brand or store brand products are provided by companies that sell to multiple supermarkets, changing only the labels. In addition, some manufacturers create low-cost generic brand labels with only the name of the product ("Cola"). Richelieu Foods, for example, is a private label food manufacturing company producing frozen pizza, salad dressing, sauces, marinades, condiments, and deli salads for other companies, including Hy-Vee, Aldi, Save-A-Lot, Sam's Club, Hannaford Brothers Co., BJ's Wholesale Club (Earth's Pride brand), and Shaw's Supermarkets (Culinary Circle brand). Smaller banks sometimes outsource their credit-card or check processing operations to larger banks, which issues and processes the credit cards as white label cards, typically for a fee, allowing the smaller bank to brand the cards as their own without having to invest in the necessary infrastructure. A current example of this is Cuscal Limited providing white label card and transactional products to Credit Unions in Australia or Simple (formerly BankSimple) in the United States which issues bank accounts and debit cards operated by The Bancorp Bank. In Southern California, City National Bank (CNB) is the largest check processor in that half of the state, because in addition to checks issued by its own customers, CNB processes checks for the customers of more than 60 smaller Southern California banks. Many software companies offer white label software to agencies or other customers, including the possibility to resell the software under the customer’s brand. This typically requires functionalities such as the adaptation of the software’s visual appearance, multi-customer management and automatic billing to the end-customers based on usage parameters.

California's Legal Weed Is So Heavily Taxed and Regulated That the Black Market Might Survive

"The situation in the market is pretty dire," one major cannabis seller told us. ---------------- Subscribe to our YouTube channel: http://youtube.com/reasontv Like us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Reason.Magaz... Go to reason.com for a point of view you won't get from legacy media and old left-right opinion magazines. ---------------- As of January 2018, anyone over the age of 21 can walk into a store in California and pick up some marijuana. All you need is some cash or a credit card. To learn more about how legalized recreational cannabis sales works, we tracked a product, the Kiva chocolate bar, up the supply chain—from seed to sale. We talked to cannabis entrepreneurs along the way to find out what's changed for them operating in a legal state market. And what we found was surprising: Anxiety about the future of the legal market under California's highly regulated—and highly taxed—system. Some industry insiders told us that if the legal market remains so overtaxed and overregulated that the black market will continue to stay in business. "The situation in the market is pretty dire," says Kristi Knoblich Palmer, COO and co-founder of KIVA, which had to lay off employees for the first time in the company's history after recreational legalization went into effect. "That has everything to do with the cost of cannabis to the end consumer." Produced by Zach Weissmueller. Camera by Alex Manning and Weissmueller. Edison Nation Insider Licensing Program

03:38
Do you have a patented or patent-pending product idea you want to get on store shelves? Edison Nation exists to get product ideas out of your head and onto retail shelves, all at no risk to you. Visit: www.EdisonNation.com/InsiderLicensingProgram to learn more. Edison Nation members who upgrade to our Insider membership are eligible to submit their patented or patent-pending ideas to our Insider Licensing Program for exclusive representation from our licensing experts. Here's how it works: Preliminary Review. Our team will first perform a preliminary review to ensure your invention meets the program criteria. Factors that might keep your idea from moving forward include: your invention is too cost-prohibitive, has engineering challenges and/or major players in the marketplace have already launched products similar to yours. If none of these apply, your idea will be approved and move on to the preparation phase. Preparation. At this time, we perform a "best partner" review. We take inventory of our retail and manufacturing contacts and begin to map out just who should learn more about your idea. We conduct a gap analysis and visit the store shelves to understand the market and to get an understanding as to where your idea fits. We develop the materials necessary to position your invention in the best possible light. Pitching. Your idea moves into "finalist" mode and our team begins proactively pitching your idea. Our team is on the phone, on email and using our proprietary presentation system to get the attention of the industry's best. When a company expresses interest, we move into term sheets and negotiations. If a company expresses disinterest, we take note of this, too. We stay in constant contact with the licensee until we negotiate the best possible deal for you. Outcome. In the end, the market decides what products will be successful. There are no guarantees. When the deal is signed, we'll share the good news with you. If for some reason we are not successful finding the best licensing partner for you, we'll let you know why and provide you this straightforward feedback as soon as possible. Hate Rejection? Me Too. You Can Still License Your Ideas.

inventRight coach David Fedewa describes how hard he used to take it when companies rejected his ideas for new products. He thinks about rejection differently today. All trademarks are registered trademarks of their respective companies. Welcome to the ask David Fedewa Show. I am your host David Fedewa and I am here to answer any one of your inventing questions. I want to get started off today and I want to reach out to everybody out there and talk about a topic that is not brought up in the questions and that is the emotional state that we all go through as we move through this process. It is, I would say eighty percent emotional twenty percent the nuts and both questions that I get and I know it is not something that somebody's going to post “Hey, and all this and this.” I am having a rough time just calling companies are having a tough time with my family, they are not going to post that and so I want to start off every one of my videos from here on out and start to talk about a little bit of the emotional journey that you all go through and I went through personally I am very emotional person everybody says you have got to have thick skin to be an inventor, because you got a call and got to take rejection I am awful at rejection. I used to take it very personally and used to shut down for two to four weeks at a time I get one no close the door, closed the book and so I want to get started off talk a little bit about rejection and what it means to inventors and what it meant to me as I went through the process and build to a point where I became successful in this business. Rejection, at first meant to me that they did not like me or my ideas, it was very tough I would not call companies I would not do sell sheets, I would just not move my project forward because I got that no. It was very difficult because I was waiting tables. I never heard the words NO because all I did was go get people things and so going out and trying to turn myself into a salesperson where I had the deal through rejection and deal through these hard difficult things that you know it was my idea, it came from me and it was I felt like it personified me and so when it got rejected it was very detrimental to not only my motivation but my emotional state you know, there is “Oh, my God how does this work,” how can I get this thing to work everybody is always rejecting me and as I started to realize that if you change the meaning of what no means you personally because at first that is why I was explaining it meant personal rejection of my who I am and as soon as I change that to, that is one stepping stone on my way to success and that I read you know the movie Rocky, well he went out to hundreds of studios to direct try to get his movie made and kept getting no on different levels they would say yes we take it but we do not want you as an individual to star in the movie, that is another no for him because he had to be in it and so he went through all these no’s and book publishers Chicken Soup for the Soul joke jack canfield he did the same thing no, no, no, and as he built those no’s and what it turned into for me was the more “No’s” I get the more successful I am going to be when I get that “Yes” and it was true. I took on so many “No’s” but I stack those “No’s” on top of each other to make my tower to get up to my mountain. And so you have to change what it means to you when you are going out there calling realized that that “No” is just “No” tool that idea at that moment from that one individual it is their opinion on my Arctic can, I probably got a handful of “No’s” even from big professionals in the industry before cortical company took it on launch that thing and maybe the success that it is and so you have to look at your idea and realize that you have something of value and you got to push it through you got make it happen take those “No’s” turn them into “Yes, fair, how and why” people are saying no and build on that, change your product evolve and you will get your “Yes” to keep climbing that mountain and you will get there.

Technical Section- The questions were mainly from Analogue electronics, digital electronics and communication systems. In Analogue electronics, the questions were mainly about diodes, transistors and equations relating to them. One advice for aspirants would be to focus on learning the equations well and practicing questions related to them since the questions are objective. For Digital Electronics, candidates can focus on Boolean algebra. As for communications, questions relating to basic filters were also asked. Candidates must be sure of the concepts and apply formulas to the questions given. HR Round- Questions covered several personal areas such as the candidate’s family background, schooling, and why they wanted to join Qualcomm. Placement tips and suggestions here for aspirants would be to prepare for such questions beforehand using the resources available since they can be very helpful in the actual interview. PLACEMENT TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS 1) Be confident of your skills 2) Maintain a decent percentage, since the cut-off for Qualcomm was 70%. 3) Be thorough with your concepts and read them well. 4) Practice questions from other books, but first be clear with the concepts you’re studying.
