What Creates Brand Trust? │ The Factors Affecting Brand Image

What creates brand trust? A recent study on factors affecting brand image for young Americans ages 13 to 36 had some interesting findings. (You can read about it here https://www.ypulse.com/post/view/the-10-brands-gen-z-millennials-trust-most). A group of 27,000 young people were shown a list of over 200 brands and asked which ones they trusted the most. For Generation Z, the top 3 brands were Oreo, Nike, and Hershey’s. For Millennials, it was Nike, Hershey’s, and Amazon. What creates brand trust for them? It’s no surprise that kids like sweet treats, and apparently Millennials do too. Most of those surveyed – 80% – said they felt the most trust and loyalty towards brands that had been in business a long time. Familiarity seemed to be one of the major factors affecting brand image. Nike sponsors practically every sports team out there, so it’s no surprise that it made the top 3, while Amazon dominates the online marketplace. Respondents said that customer service was also very important. It’s a bit disturbing how few of the top brands are known for their corporate values. Only The North Face really makes an ethical stand. Clearly we’re not moving the needle hard enough. Let’s put our trust in companies that deserve it. Before we buy from any organization it’s a good idea to do some homework first. Are there any women on the board? Is the company involved in environmental causes? What about their labor practices? If they use child labor and sweatshops they don’t deserve our customer loyalty. The website www.pursepower.com can help you make the right decisions. There are more factors affecting brand image than cost and marketing. Be clear as a company what you want to be recognized for and make the decisions that get your message out to the right people. Ultimately, what creates brand trust is integrity. Let’s choose brands that support our values.

What is BRAND EQUITY? What does BRAND EQUITY mean? BRAND EQUITY meaning, definition & explanation

What does BRAND EQUITY mean? BRAND EQUITY meaning - BRAND EQUITY definition - BRAND EQUITY explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Brand equity is a phrase used in the marketing industry which describes the value of having a well-known brand name, based on the idea that the owner of a well-known brand name can generate more money from products with that brand name than from products with a less well known name, as consumers believe that a product with a well-known name is better than products with less well-known names. Brand equity refers to the value of a brand. In the research literature, brand equity has been studied from two different perspectives: cognitive psychology and information economics. According to cognitive psychology, brand equity lies in consumer’s awareness of brand features and associations, which drive attribute perceptions. According to information economics, a strong brand name works as a credible signal of product quality for imperfectly informed buyers and generates price premiums as a form of return to branding investments. It has been empirically demonstrated that brand equity plays an important role in the determination of price structure and, in particular, firms are able to charge price premiums that derive from brand equity after controlling for observed product differentiation. Some marketing researchers have concluded that brands are one of the most valuable assets a company has, as brand equity is one of the factors which can increase the financial value of a brand to the brand owner, although not the only one. Elements that can be included in the valuation of brand equity include (but not limited to): changing market share, profit margins, consumer recognition of logos and other visual elements, brand language associations made by consumers, consumers' perceptions of quality and other relevant brand values. Consumers' knowledge about a brand also governs how manufacturers and advertisers market the brand. Brand equity is created through strategic investments in communication channels and market education and appreciates through economic growth in profit margins, market share, prestige value, and critical associations. Generally, these strategic investments appreciate over time to deliver a return on investment. This is directly related to marketing ROI. Brand equity can also appreciate without strategic direction. A Stockholm University study in 2011 documents the case of Jerusalem's city brand. The city organically developed a brand, which experienced tremendous brand equity appreciation over the course of centuries through non-strategic activities. A booming tourism industry in Jerusalem has been the most evident indicator of a strong ROI. While most brand equity research has taken place in consumer markets, the concept of brand equity is also important for understanding competitive dynamics and price structures of business-to-business markets. In industrial markets competition is often based on differences in product performance. It has been suggested however that firms may charge premiums that cannot be solely explained in terms of technological superiority and performance-related advantages. Such price premiums reflect the brand equity of reputable manufacturers. Brand equity is strategically crucial, but famously difficult to quantify. Many experts have developed tools to analyze this asset, but there is no agreed way to measure it. As one of the serial challenges that marketing professionals and academics find with the concept of brand equity, the disconnect between quantitative and qualitative equity values is difficult to reconcile. Quantitative brand equity includes numerical values such as profit margins and market share, but fails to capture qualitative elements such as prestige and associations of interest. Overall, most marketing practitioners take a more qualitative approach to brand equity because of this challenge. In a survey of nearly 200 senior marketing managers, only 26 percent responded that they found the "brand equity" metric very useful.

Thierry Henry: Aston Villa get transfer boost from star factor - EXCLUSIVE

03:33
Please Subscribe and Enjoy More  Henry is understood to have verbally agreed to become Aston Villa’s new manager. The club saw new majority shareholders Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens arrive this summer and are now playing catch-up in the transfer market. It appears as though Steve Bruce will be axed despite guiding Villa to playoff final heartbreak last season. And former Norwich and West Ham striker Ashton admits the lure of a big name like Henry may be too good to turn down. “If you’re a foreign investor, Thierry Henry is a huge star, a huge name with a fantastic decorated career,” Ashton told Express Sport.  “And you’d feel he would give the club an image that they want. “He’d have the influence with the players and be able to go our into the transfer market and bring in players that maybe another manager couldn’t.” Should Henry get the job he will follow fellow ex-pundits Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard away from the TV studio and into managerial hot seats. Gerrard has taken over at Rangers, having worked as a Liverpool youth coach since hanging up his boots. And Lampard is the new boss at Derby despite no previous coaching experience.  Ashton admits Lampard and Henry - should he land the Aston Villa post - are set for a tough season ahead in what is widely regarded as English football’s most completive league. “The Championship is very different to the Premier League,” he said. “Players’ attitudes are very different. You’ve got to juggle a lot of players from all age groups and at different stages of their careers. “It won’t be an easy job and the players will still see through you if you cannot interact with them.” As for Bruce, the former Birmingham and Hull manager remains in the job at Villa Park. And Ashton concedes his situation is a product of modern football. “At the end of the day it’s a business and they will want their own man in,” the one-time England international added. “So it’s a real shame to hear Thierry Henry might already be in position without Steve Bruce leaving his post. “But that’s football. It’s probably different to any other business because of the supporters, the history of football clubs. “But that’s the way football’s going. “The great job Steve Bruce did to almost get them promoted, it means nothing. Especially when you’ve got someone like Thierry Henry with his brand and image. “Aston Villa fans will be massively excited to get someone like him in. But then it’s about whether or not the players take to him.”

9 WORST Company Failures!

11:04
Dumbest ways companies have failed to predict the future or made decisions that bankrupted them! Whatever happened to Blockbuster and Borders? Find out on this countdown of epic business blunders! #9. “Kodak”- The Eastman Kodak Company was founded in 1888 and was the most successful company in the photography industry during the 20th Century. They were the leaders in bringing the cutting edge of photographic technology and easy to use cameras to the hands of consumers throughout the world. But Kodak almost met its demise at the hands of a product that it actually invented: digital photography. Kodak invented this technology in 1975, but failed to jump on the innovation, believing that common applications for it were well into the future. Early on, the company thought that the high cost and complexity that would be needed to make a push into the digital front weren’t in Kodak’s best interests. So, Kodak put digital photography to the side to be picked back up when the time was financially advantageous, but they waited too long. By the time they switched gears, they faced competitors who had been perfecting their business models with digital photography at the center, whereas Kodak’s model was still dependent on printed photos. While other companies made deals with websites, phone companies and focused on online based imaging, Kodak floundered and in 2012 filed for Bankruptcy. They have since come back from bankruptcy and started specializing in producing smartphones and tablets. #8. “Pan American”- From 1927 until 1991, Pan Am was the largest airline company in the United States, but due to bad foresight, callous labor practices and an uncontrollable disaster this global giant quickly met its end. The company basically had a monopoly on overseas travel until World War II but was dealt its first major blow when other strong airline companies began to up their game. Pan Am fought off the competitors with its innovations such as jumbo jets and an advanced system for making reservations but these innovations couldn’t match the corporate aptitude and human relations that the other airlines dealt with more astutely. One of the main reasons for Pan Am’s failure was ironically due to its early successes. Because of the sheer size of its fleet, it was the company hit the hardest by the 1973 oil crisis. Just before the crisis, Pan Am had just purchased a number of brand new gas-guzzling Boeing 747s and was forced to dramatically raise ticket prices to recuperate. As it was trying to recover from this setback it had also become a target of terrorism in the Middle East. To the terrorists Pan Am was a symbol of the United States overseas because it was the largest U.S. airline servicing the area. During the Gulf War, in the midst of financial hardships and battles with labor unions, Pan American 103 on a transatlantic flight from Frankfurt, Germany to Detroit was blown up by Libyan nationals above the Scottish town of Lockerbie. The incident scared even more customers away from flying Pan Am and many travel agents would no longer book flights on their planes. All of these events and poor managing of them led Pan American International Airways to declare bankruptcy and completely fold in 1991. #7. “Borders”- Tom and Louis Borders opened their first bookstore in 1971. Their vast selection of books and innovative inventory system turned them into the second biggest chain of book megastores. Due to years of miscalculating the future of book consumption, the bookstore all but vanished in 2011. It all started in the mid 90s when Amazon and other online stores hit the scene. Instead of developing their own website and focusing on online sales, the company decided to further their storefront endeavors and expanded into Europe and Asia opening hundreds of stores. Their competitor Barnes and Noble, did the opposite by preparing for the digital age, perfecting their online sales system and focusing on their storefront operations in the United States. When Borders did start to catch on to the online market they were already far behind and decided to use Amazon as a host for such sales. Because of this, as more and more sales were made online, instead of receiving 100% of the profit they had to share with Amazon. Borders also was caught in the past by devoting lots of money and inventory towards DVDs and CDs at a time when digital music and video was on the rise. While Barnes and Noble developed it’s own e-reader to grab paperless book market by the horns, Borders was extremely slow to adapt to the change. All of these factors came to a boiling point in 2006 when, after several years of losing millions of dollars Borders filed for bankruptcy. By 2011, Borders realized there was no way out and closed most of its remaining stores. The only stores remaining are in southeast asia where it remain Borders in name only, as they were sold to a company named Popular Holdings.

Factors to Consider When Choosing Corporate Uniforms

01:00
http://www.absoluteapparel.com.au/ Factors to Consider When Choosing Corporate Uniforms Absolute Apparel: 21/10 Enterprise Street, Ashmore, Gold Coast, Queensland 4214 Ph: 1300 787 904 Factors to Consider When Choosing Corporate Uniforms Corporate uniforms can not only help present a strong, cohesive company image, but can also make it easy for customers to identify employees at a glance. This is particularly important in customer service oriented businesses such as retail shops, airlines, coffee shops and diners. When choosing corporate uniforms, keep the following tips in mind: Focus on Function When choosing uniforms, it is easy to get caught up in factors such as color and style, while forgetting the most important factor function. First and foremost, your company's uniforms need to be comfortable to wear and capable of standing up to the rigors of the job that they will be used for. For example, if you are buying uniforms for food servers, they need to be loose enough to allow free arm movement, but not so loose that they get in the way of delivering food. They also need to be stain resistant. Spend a lot of time thinking about how the uniforms will be used before deciding which ones to choose. Choose the Right Color Color is the second most important factor when choosing uniforms for your company. The colors of the uniforms should strongly tie in to the colors of your brand. For instance, if your company logo is primarily green, your uniforms should also be primarily green. Add a Logo The final part of choosing uniforms for your business is incorporating your logo. Decide whether you want to get your logo screen printed or embroidered on the uniforms. In general, if the logo is going to be small, embroidery is a good choice, whereas larger designs are better suited for screen printing. Choosing the right corporate uniforms can help present your company in the best possible light. By making sure the uniforms are functional, color-coordinated with your business, and properly branded, you can present a strong, cohesive image that helps your company stand out from the crowd. Six Key Trust Factors You Should Have On Your Website

03:05
‘Trust is built when no one is looking’ (Seth Godin) Trust signals are subliminal cues that your site sends to users when they click on your website, or even if they’re just viewing it from your rich snippet within the SERPs. Today I run through some of the six most important trust signals that your site can utilise in order to build users trust when viewing your site; social profiles, contact information, reviews, Google Trusted Stores, blogs and site navigation. By including social profiles within the header and footer of your website, you are enhancing your trust signals for both the user and search engines that are crawling your site. Site benefits include PR opportunities, they encourage user interaction with your brand and they are also great for local SEO purposes. Site navigation is an important trust signal for your site as it relates directly to user experience. This should be designed with the user in mind and they should be able to see what your site offer, leading in more conversions and leads. This will also alleviate some of the crawl budget as search engines crawl your site. Your sites contact information is also a strong trust signal. In order to optimise your site for this you must ensure your company details are visible for all to see. Advantages for doing this are that this will allow users to contact your business easily, it will build brand trust and it’s also good for Local SEO purposes. Reviews are one of the strongest trust signals as these can appear within your rich snippet within the SERPs when users search for your brand online. By including customer reviews this helps build domain authority, helps increase site conversions and you can also address potential weaknesses within your company or in terms of the service or product that you are offering users. By having a blog within your website this allows you to drive traffic to your site and it increases the chance of turning that traffic into leads and conversions. This will also help build a brand identity and position your company as an expert in the field in which you’re talking. Google Trusted Stores are a great form of building credibility for your brand as you can display the trusted stores badge you receive from Google within your website for users to see. This will also help your business stand apart from your competitors. Taking this a step further, Google will also release extra snippets of data for you regarding your users. For help with your websites trust signals or any other SEO aspects get in touch with the Koozai team today to start working with our award winning SEO agency: http://www.koozai.com/seo/ To build your trust signals and to learn more about each specific trust signal discussed in this video, check out my recent blog post: http://www.koozai.com/blog/search-marketing/6-essential-trust-signals-for-your-website-to-follow/ You can also download our free ‘Getting Started With SEO’ whitepaper: http://www.koozai.com/resources/whitepapers/getting-started-with-search-engine-optimisation/ For further helpful Digital Marketing advice, feel free to visit us on: https://www.facebook.com/koozai https://twitter.com/koozai http://www.koozai.com/blog/

Ecommerce SEO - Get Traffic to Your Online Store [Top 4 Factors]

08:59
This video will show you how to use Ecommerce SEO to get more traffic (and customers) to your online store. How? By focusing on the top 4 most critical ranking factors that go into ranking ecommerce websites. Of course, I cover all 4 of these factors in the video. But I'll also list them here as a reference. First up, we have your site's overall link authority. This is determined by the quality and quantity of the backlinks pointing to your site. The thing is, most ecommerce sites think that they can rank with product and category pages alone. But you can't. Like any website, backlinks are important for ecommerce sites. I show you how to build links to your ecommerce site in the beginning of the video. Next up, we have product page optimization. Most of your organic search engine traffic will likely go to your product pages. And I show you the 4 steps that I use to optimize product pages quickly. Once your most important pages are optimized, it's time to dig into your site architecture. This is something that's more technical SEO focused, but it can make or break your ecommerce SEO efforts (that's because your site likely has hundreds or even thousands of pages). The organization of these (also known as your website architecture) is key. Lastly, it's time to optimize your URLs. I reveal some data about which URLs tend to rank best in Google. SUBSCRIBE to get higher rankings and more traffic! http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=backlinko

Measuring Marketing (Ep. 80)

06:35
This video series, born from The Marketing Scope's blog - Marketing Mash, is dedicated to talking about best practices in marketing techniques and new products as well as conversations with industry leaders. We will take a closer look at marketing and start some open conversations while having some fun along the way. Measuring marketing efforts has always been a top priority for a number of businesses. However, measuring the monetary ROI for marketing campaigns is also a major challenge. How is it possible to accurately measure marketing? How often should your company attempt to measure marketing, and what are the best practices for measuring marketing efforts? That’s this week’s Marketing Mash topic, and Eric Vidal aims to answer all of these questions and more! How to Measure Marketing Leads, sales, and revenue generation are all factors in measuring the success of your company’s marketing. However, measuring the success of a brand is hard to quantify by focusing on these three factors alone. Creating and cultivating a desirable brand image is one of the main goals for marketers, so what is the best way to measure the success of your brand’s marketing? In this week’s Marketing Mash, Eric Vidal covers multiple ways to measure the success of your company’s marketing efforts, as well as which measuring tactic to use depending on what your company’s marketing team is trying to accomplish. When to Measure Marketing Measuring marketing efforts can be a costly endeavor. Knowing when and how often to measure your company’s marketing can make a major difference to the results. Measuring too often may lead to unnecessary costs and inaccurate findings. Measure infrequently and you could miss out on invaluable insight from emerging markets and new demographics. Knowing when and how often to measure is just as important as how your company measures marketing efforts. Luckily, this week’s Marketing Mash includes excerpts from a recent study that contains a multitude of information from various companies about how often they measure marketing. Knowing how, and how often other companies are measuring marketing efforts will give you much needed information to formulate a plan for your business. Eric recently wrote a post that breaks down the topic further, read: Trouble Measuring Marketing’s Impact? You’re Not Alone—Here’s How to Fix It: https://www.themarketingscope.com/tro... Confident Multifactor Authentication is a completely out-of-band, secure approach to two-factor authentication. It secures the second factor by delivering an image-based authentication challenge which the user must solve on the second factor device itself. The Loyalty Factor: Building Employee, Customer and Brand Loyalty

00:37
REFUEL, RECHARGE & REENERGIZE YOUR ORGANIZATION The most powerful form of marketing -- word of mouth -- is within the walls of ever company. It's called loyalty, and successful leaders know its value. Drawing on more than 25 years as an expert in the field, author Dianne M. Durkin shows you how to build a loyalty-driven organization from the inside out, based on this deceptively simple formula: Employee loyalty drives customer loyalty, which drives brand loyalty. Durkin's book, The Loyalty Factor outlines the five essential steps to building the Loyalty Factor process, shows CEOs and mid-level managers how they can make or break a loyalty initiative, and provides a guide for managing in times of large-scale change or crisis. The Loyalty Factor features case studies from some of American's most admired companies -- including Amgen, Best Buy, Green Mountain Coffee, KitchenAid, Kronos, Southwest Airlines, Tiffany, Timberland, and Whole Foods. Packed with proven methods for translating allegiance into bottom line results, this timely and practical book shows the power of loyalty in action!

On Page SEO - Top Ranking Factors - Increase Rank in Google

06:04
Learn On Page SEO ranking factors and increase your website rank in Google and improve authority. On Page Optimization is one of the most important factor every webmaster forgets or don't care. 1.Title: Title is the first thing user see about your page(in Google). First thing loaded in web browser. Keep the title short in length(less than 70 char). Use powerful keywords at first if possible(in the sense it won't look keyword stuffed or spammy) Powerful keywords are those having lot of search volume & attract user click. Find out those keywords is your greatest challenge. 2.Description: Description is mandatory according to Google. Limit your description length to 160 chars Widely spread your targeted keyword all over the description(In the sense don't use same phrase, instead think a little to find a good description including keywords). You can use any symbols in it as long as it make sense for your web page. 3.URL: Use SEO friendly URL. Shorter URL's are the best. As it is very easy to remember for users. But URL should also convey what the page is about. 4.Headings: You can use H1 to H6 Use heading tags properly. H1 should be main heading of the page. According to the importance of sub headings use H2 to H6 Use one or two keyword(s) in H1 Use related keywords in some sub headings. 5.Image filename & alt attribute: Describe your image with less words. Filename & alt attribute need not to be exactly same. Instead atleast one keyword should be common. Separate words with "-" while naming an image file. Use space to separate words in alt attribute. If image is a copied one give credit to the owner by placing a link to the image or respective page.(Make sure you can use that image via giving image credit). 6.Strong HTML tag(strong): Don't use this tag to highlight keywords for search engines. Instead use strong tags for the user to get a vague/important idea about the page content. 7.Links: A page should contain dofollow as well as nofollow links(can be avoided if all links are good). Use nofollow for affiliate links and low quality websites(eg: Blog comment link) All other links that are related to the niche can be dofollow links. "Respect the respected ones" dofollow links are meant as you respect that page. So be careful, give dofollow links to good & useful articles that your users will enjoy reading. Limit external links from a page to less than half of that of internal links. 8.Branding Name: Give high value to your business(it's a mindset that is to be reflected in your website). If you don't provide value to your website who else wish to do? So you should promote your brand name in all of your pages footer/sidebar, logo alt(eg: brandname logo). Instead of "About us" you can use "About Brand name". Like wise you can provide your brand name at the end of title. Think creative and make a reason to say your brand name in all pages. Eg: about, vission, mission, goals, etc. 9.Transparency: More the transparent, more priority will be given in ranking.
