UX Design For Emerging Technologies (Augmented Reality, 3D Printing, Internet of Things)
View full course on Udemy: https://udemy.com/emergingtechnology Or purchase from me directly: https://truthabout.design/emergingtech If you’ve spent any time at all reading technology blogs, you’ve seen a lot of talk about new technologies like virtual reality, augmented reality, internet of things, 3D printing, Robotics, AI and many, many others. Meanwhile, you’re sitting at your desk designing screenshots for laptops and mobile phones, and wondering, “Where does UX fit into al of this? Will I have a job in 5-10 years?” And if you’re not asking yourself that, well, you should, because all of the top designers from Google, Apple, Facebook and some of the top design agencies in the world all agree that UX Design as a job title will die over the next couple of years. In part because UX Design has started to mean everything and nothing at the same time, and in part because the form factors that UX designers design for will no longer exist in a few years. So if you want to stay ahead of the game, you need to adapt now, or the market will make you obsolete. And that’s what this course is about. This course gives you a comprehensive overview of all of the emerging technologies that will be relevant for UX designers in the future and teaches you the overarching principles of designing for these technologies.

Is A Career in UX Right For You?
Excerpt from my "Is UX for You" class, available at: https://truthabout.design/uxforyou People love talking about how great UX design is, but when I talk to people who are interested in getting into the field, no one is asking about the perks -- they are all trying to figure out if UX is a good career choice for them. No one is answering this question. So I made a course about it.

The year is 2035. It's been 18 years since Donald Trump revealed his true form -- an alien spider -- killed all of congress and assumed control of the United States. It's up to you to go back in time to that fateful day, and destroy him before he can murder all of Congress. Thoughts on the dev process: Obviously, I didn't get everything in that I wanted to. What bothers me the most, is that I couldn't get the trump voiceovers to fire upon animations. The code was clean -- every time an animation was triggered in a script, I also had it trigger an audio source -- but it didn't play and I ran out of time. Would have made the game MUCH funnier. I learned a ton -- mostly about myself. I noticed that whenever I have to write scripts, I procrastinate like hell. I absolutely despise spending my day figuring out why things don't work. I realize that it would get better with time, but I'm not sure I enjoy the process of getting better enough to go through it until I do get better. I deeply respect software engineers that enjoy this process. I really enjoyed putting together the environments, developing the idea, and working on the 3D models.
